The Nuttyverse is a personal publishing platform for my creative and recreational pursuits, imbued with ♌-energy and a pinch of whimsical delusion. It has been slowly expanding since July 2023.

Like many others in the Neocities community, I have become discontent with how corporatized the Internet has become. I yearn for the early days of the web that felt more personal and less commercialized. So this is my contribution to bringing back that lost individual creativity of the web.

This website will be under construction indefinitely, most definitely. You see, I have perfectionistic tendencies, and so I often find myself absorbed in the small details that don't matter. But please, do not misunderstand: that is exactly the point.

The minutiae brings me joy, and I am just going to play with it. As the physicist Richard Feynman put it, "There's no importance whatsoever. I'm just doing it for the fun of it." I wish to pursue webmastery with that same kind of autotelic attitude.

The Nuttyverse is (over-)engineered as a set of polyglot μ-services running in a swarm of Docker containers deployed on a bare-metal NixOS server -- with the exception of this static website that you are currently navigating, which is deployed on Neocities.

If you are interested in taking a peek into the internals, the code happens to be open-sourced and published in a git monorepo. But don't let me find you blatantly copying it... or else!

I read on Wikipedia that colophons would sometimes contain book curses in early printed publications. I found that idea to be quite amusing, so I thought to irreverently place one in mine. Muahahaha, it's such an evil thing to do! It feels delightfully roguish.
